Both Pete and Pike were going very well in the morning sessions but you guys have seen hundreds of pics of their cars....you won't have seen many of this one before :D

Based on the group C version of a Lancia Stratos it's powered by a twin turbo 3 litre V6 from Alfa.

It was being driven by one of Hartges test and development drivers........a smashing chap but I can't remember his name for the life of me!

I'm sure Pike will be on later with more details. His Golf looked and sounded simply superb.

Firstly I've got to say a massive thank you to Stuart for getting me out of trouble yesterday when I lost my fan belt down comming out of Sear. Luckily he was able to source one in Watton for me. The RAC haven't got a patch on you Stu. Thanks again :-D

Apart from that the day went really well. I'm really happy with the engine its nice to have some grunt now and to be able to overtake. I was really worried about the noise levels with the new exhaust but luckily MSV recorded it at 98db, well in the 105db limit for racing.

It was good to see Pete out on track but unfortunately we didn't get any time to chat.
The Stig would also like to apologise to the driver of the blue porsche for overtaking it round the outside of coram. They spent the rest of the day in the garage playing with their settings

Luke

Was glad to help. Just a little disappointed that your freshly rebuilt 8v sounds sound bloody good compared to my old lawnmower soundalike. Hope to see you on the 12th when you can repay your little favour ;)
