Especially to show you Sky-barge owners a thing or two
It's not easy for us Skylines owners, we have to contend with red Golfs spinning infront of us and Blue Scoobies understeering round the corners]

Scoobies understeering :?: :?: ......thats only those overweight new ones that do that

LOL

Thanks for the kind words. :D

I thought it was great. My first ever proper track session, first time in the GT3 and first time driving round Snetterton (a circuit I have only been round twice before as a passenger).

I dont like taking things too easy, but I wouldnt want anyone to think I was being reckless or risky. I've only driven with those tyres on once before on the road and didnt know what they would be like at temperature, and to be honest there was nothing particularly "mad" about level of sidewaysness or anything that wasnt what I would do on a fun jaunt home on the road. The Orange would have been a different story - almost impossible to drive hard and pretty much full lock at a much lower speed than I was carrying on Saturday. I was trying hard to get the best from the car, but with an extremely high safety margin as I cant afford another 50k for a replacement !!! I guess it was about 8/10ths.

Only couple of speeds I remember were 147 fastest of the day on Revett and 140 by the braking point on the start finish straight, I could take the first Esses on a trailing throttle in 3rd quite happily, second would have been revving very high there so must have been around 70mph I guess, and Corum was around the 90mph mark.

I will be getting much bigger brakes fitted in the new year, and maybe tweek the suspension so its a lot less understeery and more steerable on the throttle. That being said most of the sideways angles were initiated with a bit of left foot or a 5000rpm+ trailing throttle.

Stuart, I reckon you are a very good driver if you think about the fact that you held a fundamentally slower car, that weighs more, with a tad more power but in RWD mode despite being setup for 4WD around the same course yet didnt lose enough corner speed that I could have passed fully on the straights. Dont do yourself down mate.

J.
