ca va?

Hi all,

I am not sure whether I have enough horses to be really called Big Power and I don't have a Jap turbo'd monster, but I have been ordered to sign up anyway. More of a forum voyeur rather than a keyboard warrior.

I have a Polo G40 with a few modifications. Its probably nowhere near the power of some of the mad things on here, but as it weighs around 830kgs the power to weight ratio is what its all about and its not bad for 1341cc with only 8 valves (I don't want to hear boasts from you rotary boys :P )

Its coming off the road in the next week or so to have more work done over the winter, possible better FMIC, new charger outlet, mapped to suit new big valve head and a few other bits. Hoping for 230-240bhp once its running properly. Its a bit hairy without an LSD, but that just adds to the fun.

Hi and Welcome Ben

I remember hiring one of these for the days a few years back when they were new... awesome instant grunt

Real Q car there and will suprise quite a few people.

Any plans for track action etc with it? Should do well with that power to weight ratio.

ps - Dont forget to bring it along to the meet at Snetterton before you take it off the road :D

Welcome Ben

Nice G40 you've got there. 830kgs is a great starting point and if your plans for 200+ horses are achieved then that will be a bullet around the circuits.

As Dunk hinted (he's too polite, I'm not) we all love cars of all shapes and sizes, their actual power is secondary to the manner in which they are used. Someone could come on here with a 300bhp Subaru and get kicked off if they act like a knob on the forums or the road.

Look forward to seeing you at the meet, if you can make it, and keep us posted on your development work :thumb:
