Hi, I only heard about this site whilst at Honington yesterday and had a chat with one or two members. Great day BTW
I have a white Impreza wagon, MY97, STi3, which I've been gradually modifying over the three years I've owned it. For the first 2 years it was my daily driver but with fuel bills at <19mpg and 25K+ per year it now spends most of it's time in the garage. I now use it mainly for sprints and occassional track days. I thoroughly enjoy driving it and there's still plenty room for improvement. It's been a steep learning curve since I've had the car and I still know too little

. I'm planning a few more enhancements over the winter, if it's not too cold!
I understand this site is operated pretty tightly and you don't suffer trolls and idiots lightly. Sounds good! I'm a member of a few car forums but some tend to get bogged down in cr@p. Looking forward to being a member of one of a few good sites.
Anything else you want to know about the car, just ask
Gerry

Hi geery welcome to the site, try and get some pictures and some stats up for the other members to peruse. There is also a garage facility at the top of the screen so you can catalog all your mods. Welcome!!

Well thanks for the welcomes (must remember not to use too many smileys eh Goodap :-D ).
Just had a quick browse before getting on with some work and noticed quite a few familiar names, so I'm in good company
I'll have to read through the threads on a couple of the events I've done recently:
Coltishall
MLR v Scoobycity sprint
and looking forward to reading one on yesterday at Honington too.

Hi Gerry
Glad you had a nice time yesterday, your car certainly seemed to go well enough. Welcome to the site. We certainly do take a very robust stance with muppets, a stance that has seen a very mature approach by most and the site is growing well in the direction that we want, i.e very active and very friendly in a no-nonsense way. BigPower is all about using your car hard, in the right place at the right time. You should fit right in :thumb:
Cheers

Dynamix, you should have butted in, would have been good to say hello. I found everyone so friendly and laidback at Honington, I spent most of the day chatting, about cars of course
Boxy, I'll do my best but it'll have to wait till I have a bit of time. I just looked at the garage section, bit daunting so I won't rush into that one just yet
Stu, good to know that I heard right about the site. I think we met briefly yesterday, round by the Skylines, talking about oil coolers? I was the one about 2 feet shorter than you, or so it seemed

Yeah, that would be me. I think we both agreed to get them fitted asap, something to do with 110 degree oil temps

130 degrees in my case. Had the same problem at Coltishall. About 4 hard laps and the Defi's alarming. I used to get high EGTs so fitted water injection, which keeps that under control nicely. I have a low temp thermostat to fit for the water temp, which gets to ~105 but the oil temps the big worry.
That device you told me about sounds interesting, but I've forgotten what it's called

They can explain it in much better detail than I can. I have an arrangement with a local supplier and fitter if you're interested. For around
