I wish we had more time

Post by Area 52 Autosport »

But people keep asking us to build and do stuff for them so we've not had much of a chance to contribute (where not much = none) so far.

We're long established Impreza Tuners, (the longest established specialists in the UK at least), but we've decided it's unfair not to spread out across other marques and have some fun with different kit.

So, the front end of this year will see us changing from our old company name which is marque/model specific to our current company name, and moving to new (10,000sq/ft) premises just off of the M1 junction 28.

Any questions about anything, just pop them up and we'll try and help on other threads (usually the technical ones) whenand if we can.

Welcome Mike - Good day to you sir.

10,000sq ft sounds pretty damned huge - I bet that will be like taking the handcuffs off work planning :D

I am looking forward to seeing these premises and the quality of your team's work first hand very soon :thumb:

LOL, yeah, can't wait to get in there, we're all really excited about it as well. We're lucky in that we'll be able to start preparing the workshop, engine building facility and other stuff prior to handing our old (current) building over to new owners. It's like moving house x 10 though and I don't know why they manage to stretch stuff out and make it as complex but nevertheless, they do. :D

Hi Mike, good to see you on here and don't worry, there'll be lots of questions.

The new premises sounds good, shame it's so far north as it'll be even further to trek. Still as needs must I suppose.

Say Hi to Jase :)

Hi Gerry. 8)

It is only a little further North but for 95% of visitors, will actually be easier to find, easier and quicker to get to as you won't have to traverse the Nottm city centre to get to us.

How do you guys fare alongside other tuners like TSL who aren't very far away from you.

I have had some work done there and i found them a bit on the expensive side. They gave me one price to do the work and by the time they finished the job it came out as another more expensive price due to extra time taken to unbolt and undo things. However i think their kit and expertise is very good when it comes to Scoobys and EVO's, and they seem to know thier stuff.

I had some work done at Zen performance and their prices were actually much cheaper but i found the same again. You are given one price to do the job and it ends up being more expensive when the job is finished because again something was hard to take off or fit, or some modofication to their part had to be made to make it fit on my standard car.

How do you guys compare in price, and if you quote a price do you stick with it??
Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!
