Hi i'm james

i' 28 and live on the outskirts of norwich
, my vice is my mk1 gti ,it ain't all that huge on power but its considerably more than the 118bhp from standard
This is how i bought it bout 4/5 years ago

and this is how it looks couple of weeks ago at clives charity roling road day

it's got a g60 lump under the bonnet

with a jabba stage 4 charger ,huge pro-alloy corrado intercooler ,bahn brenner charger outlet ,lightened flywheel ,supersprint 4-2-1 manifold on a power&preformance system, plus of course the 68mm pully and matching jabba chip, plus a feast of cosmetic mods

it made 194 bhp on the dyno which ain't too shy considering it weighs only 840kg

Welcome.
Great figures. You will need to post up a copy of the sheet as per BP policy.
I bet it is quick on the road.

Hiya

Welcome on board :thumb:

When I activated your account I noticed the G60 mk1 and thought 'now that would be fun :D '

As Eddie says we have a firm policy of no bullshit on the site, so posting any supporting dyno figures would help, big time.

Have you ever tried that car on a race track or drag strip?

hi and welcome, love the mk1's i have had many over the years first being a black 79 1.6 , always wanted to do the g60 conversion i only got as far as a 16v conversion but this went well fully stripped out.
hope you got some brakes for the g60, standard mk1 brakes have to be the worst on any road car. closely followed my pulsar gti-r 1 pot brakes.
look forward to seeing you and the car on track soon
