Hi everyone

Post by Buttercup »

Just wanted to say hello but please be gentle as I'm new to this whole 'proper' car thing.

I've now had my Impreza for a week and although I managed to break it within 24 hours I'm loving it!

I'm itching to get it on a track and learn how to drive it properly so I'm off to put myself down on the reserve list for the Virgin Track day.

I didn't prang it or anything just put my foot down, the turbo boost kicked in with a brief response, then lots of jerking and coughing and the engine cut out.

My very rapidly found Subaru loving mechanic thinks it may have put too much fuel through and then cut out - something to do with a trip in the exhaust. :? (Can you tell I have very little knowledge about how it actually works?)

I've been driving slightly more carefully all week and it has been fine so am hoping a good service tomorrow will cue any ills!

No piccies as yet, I do need to get some though. :)

:welcome: to club BP

We have a few clued up scooby owners on here that will no doubt be able to explain a few things - but it does not sound good :? I hope you get it sorted out.

What are your aspirations/intentions for your car?
