Yet another GTO TT newbie

Hi there. Just joined you lot on the recommendation of a friend of mine (JC) who's been trying to get me to a 'meet' of some sort for years!
I was intending to come to the Jan 10th bash but... having just got my 'labour of love' back from an engine rebuild on Tursday, I find that it still needs more (expensive) work doing to it. I've spent a fortune (haven't we all  ) on it over the last 3 years and was hoping it was finally ready to 'show off', but sadly not quite yet. It WILL be done for the Feb. met at Snetterton (is there one?)!
I live in Dersingham, West Norfolk. The Queen is currently a neighbour. I drive, when it's working, a '91 Mitsubishi GTO TT. Had it extensively restored with new gearbox, engine rebuild, respray, leather retrim, new rims, EBC, lowered suspension, etc, etc. Almost there :)
Look out for JC and Turbomart on the 10th at Snetterton, two GTO owners. Good boys who have given me much help and advice in the dark days of early ownership.
Interests include flying. Have a PPL, but can't actually afford to fly anymore due to the cost of the GTO build! Have to satisfy my arial passions with the odd ride in a friend's glider out of RAF Marham. I work away from home, mostly overseas, for a large part of the year, so getting to meets can be rather difficult, but my new year resolution is to MAKE MORE OF AN EFFORT.
Hope to meet up with some of you very soon.
Regards,
Patrick.

The only other way of getting to the meet on the 10th would be in 'she who must be obeyed's Astra, and I just know she wouldn't be happy for me to hang out with a bunch of petrol heads at a race track in her car :o
I would love to do the track day on the 28th Feb, however. Should have the new engine well and truly run in by then. JC will vouch for my briskness behind the wheel...
So hope to see you then.
Patrick.
p.s Will get some pix up very soon.

Patrick - I love GTO's :D

Mind you I love most cars :D

Welcome anyway :) ..... the Snet meet is a good chance to get to meet some of the guys and girls here. There is no track action at these (at the moment) so there will be no danger to the Astra.

ps I dont love Astras ... but it is welcome anyway ;)
