Just a quick introduction:

I'm Adam and I'm 16

My dad currently owns a 2002 Impreza WRX which we took to the Nurburgring 18months ago now and loved it. As of the 20th of January he will have a 2006 STi Spec-D (the subtle one :-D ) which we are planning to take to the 'ring from the 6th-9th of July (main reason for signing up here).

I'm mostly interested in the designing, building and modifying of cars myself, and am currently building a Suzuki GSXR1100 engined Locost, designing the rear suspension setup myself and coming across / solving problems in the design, as well as learing to weld and other skills. I'm also fiddling around with a 1989 VW Polo saloon for my first car.

Hope i'm welcome!

Hi Adam

Welcome to the site. I was a little concerned about authorising the account as we have all experienced young fellas letting themselves down and, frankly, acting their age. As long as you remember you're on an adult site I'm sure you'll be welcomed and respected, the same as anyone else who contributes to the site :thumb:

Your Dads car sounds interesting but not as good as your Locost, an 1100 Gixer lump will make that fly! Get your Dad to sign up too. The more Nurburgring addicts, the better.

Thanks Stu. Hopefully the Locost will be pretty quick.. eventually, when I get round to making some more serious progress (GSCE year, damn). I'll try to get my dad to sign up, but although he's been working in the mobile phone industry for 20+ years he isn't overly computer literate. :?
