HKS break their Tsukuba lap record

Post by Stuart »

Just read that HKS have broken their record by completing a flying lap in 53.99 seconds :o For those that don't know (or weren't sad enough to remember it from a recent DVD I watched)a 54 second lap is the equivalent of doing 12 second quarter miles all the way around the track (corners, chicanes etc)
Taniguchi was behind the wheel at the time and I bet he must have been delighted. The Cyber Evo will have a fight on it's hands this coming Super Lap Battle. Does anyone know whether this is likely to get any UK coverage?

Hi Stu.

Mega result for hks to break th 54 seconds barrier. The car is truly awsome and has a limitless budget, love it!

Really looking forward to the next battle, it should be interesting to see what JUN have done with their E9 to.However, the Cyberevo has it hands down from me though due to the success from the budget, cant wait. I dont think there is any television coverage over here Stu, probably just another 3 page artical :(

Do you know of confirmed dates?

Wouldnt it be interesting to see what time Simons SWB puts in, fairly competitive I would imagine :-D

HKS also use an Evo Dan.

The event is December 7th and can you believe there are no tickets for this spectacle, you just turn up and watch! I would agree Lloyd, Tarzan Yamada and the Cyber Evo is indeed the one to watch. IIRC they have already done a mid 53 so HKS still have it all to do..........

This would be an amazing trip one year :)
