Following Scott's suggestion I have also decided that TA 2007 is for me. I have heard from the organisers that it will get over subscribed quite quickly so we need to have a list of pretty firm/keen entrants asap.

So far I believe we have:

1. sdminus
2. dynamix
3. blacky
4.
5.
6.

It would be great if we could get a team of 6 in the series - or maybe more :)

So.... are you up for it?

The principle of taking highly tuned cars and racing them around a mixture of the best circuits, accurately measuring the best lap times with a view to declaring the winners the 'fastest'................surely that's what the competitive amongst us all strive for? I watched several events this year, whether live or via the interweb. I missed GT Battle last year, the 'concept' event in many ways, and felt like I'd been cheated.
The option for mere mortal like us to actually take part is something that I won't pass up on. If I cannot drive because I'm
a) too slow
or b) car not ready
I will happily lend me efforts to anyone involved with the BigPower entry.

PS~ I won't be too slow

I would love to do this; but I will not consider adding my name until my car, and driving ability, is proven :(

I was at the GT Battle and it was an excellent day.

Maybe I can add myself as a team sub once I have some times down!

Everywhere I look people seem to be looking at this.
Its what I would ideally like to do, and working on it, however I think I'll end up doing more local sprints and hillclimbs.

I have heard that they are looking to encourage people to do the complete series rather than picking and choosing the events based on location - (Knockhill last year did not have many runners)

I expect costs to be higher than this year but certainly manageble and along the lines of a track day.
The Time Attack 2007 season dates and venues are being finalised as we speak, the 2007 series is planned as a 4/5 round event with a points table system.

We are looking for drivers / teams who are prepared to take part in all rounds (dates allowing) so that we have a regular grid throughout the season and that teams/drivers chase the Series points win.

There will be a few slight changes to improve the series again which are being discussed, the major point being the amount of practise time allowed on the day, we expect an increase in the entrance fee which we will endeavour to keep to a minimum.

It was my plan to be in Time Attack this year but I ended up helping run it instead.
It has the potential to be a very good series. And I intend to run in it next year...
Should the planets line up and the engine builder actually finish my head!

I don't think my driving ability is up to par - so I'll offer whatever support help I can - i.e. carrying wheels etc ... wearing a bikini and holding a board / brolley.

so count me in - but only support / filming / photography.
