Well what can I say.....

actually, what CAN i say?

arrived to find the track closed and not taking signing ons till after lunch :(
office was supposed to reopen at 1.30pm - was late opening :(
joined the huuuuuge queue of cars and finally had the first run of the day at 3.30pm - clocked a 13.80 and 102.27 terminal - not too bad for first ever 1/4 mile.
rejoined the queue straight away and got another run at 5.30 (as they had to run single lane) just before it shut. :o - fluffed the change from 1st to 2nd and despite a better reastion, time, better 0-60ft of 1.9 the time was slightly slower.

all in all - annoying but fun for the first run. The second run was disappointing because it just wasnt fired up for it...and cant remember focussing on any of the stuff that i should have been thinking about.

anyway - will let the others post their times and experiences

I would do it again - but i think a BP day at snetterton would be better IMO :D - bring it on.

Well done Duncan

I did a 17sec at 85 mph, I wasn't a happy bunny.

I then let the tyres down from 21 psi to 14 psi and did a 14.4 @ 109.7 was a little happier, this wasn't a perfect run, but that's what makes getting fast times so challenging and draws you back

2.7 sec 60 foot time.............do i win the prize

hmmm, kinda glad I went to Santa Pod last weekend, not this...........from the sounds of it, that was by far the more satisfying event.

Congrats to those who popped their cherries today :-D

A complete shower of shit!

From the moment we learned of our 1.30 onwards sign on I had a feeling it would be one of those days. As Dunk says the queues were daft, the stoppages numerous and the glaringly obvious that there was no contingency plan for these issues really pissed me off.

No surprise~ I didn't set any PB's, I didn't even get close! I've spent near on

was hard to balance rising intake temps in the queue versus keeping the engine warm enough - as it was, as the turbo wasnt hot, I didnt hit full boost and because of 46C intake temp at the line the ecu cuts back advance :(

room for improvement on my line-up technique and surface felt weird - is it always squidgy like that ?
