At work...doing absolutely nothing

Post by JC »

I leave my current job today at MSI Defence Systems Ltd http://www.msi-dsl.com I'm the In-Service Support Manager, what is really irritating is the speed at which the company works, in part due to the MoD processes and paperwork..

Anyway, I'm off to http://www.ot2k.com I worked with these guys for 11 years started with them in 1987 :o
long story, they were bought and shut down, the guys then started on their own... they were looking and so was I, and made me an offer I couldn't refuse... AND they will pay my fuel bills , the MD is a bit of a petrolhead, he drives an Aston Martin DB7 and so is well aware of what my fuel bill will be like!

Can't wait to start :-D Monday here I come.

Thanks for listening 8)

Driving a fast Jap import is like coming out of the closet, you might surprise some people, but in the end you are still gay.

I was turning into a 'Desk Jockey' not doing things I'm good at or enjoy, so...bit the bullet, time for a change, already it feels good :-D

Integrated Services Technical Manager :?

It amounts to running the Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical workshops that look after ROV and Diving kit, They have a well tooled up Machine shop as well (might be useful  )

As well as the above they manufacture some underwater TV camera stuff and offer fabrication and machining services to others.

Yup, Salhouse Road, what is it you do? I usually (used to anyway) roll in around 7:50 or earlier, leaving around 5:10 or so, apart from Fridays :P when we had the afternoons off :-D

Your new job sounds blinding - bit more interesting than Service Improvement Consultant :(

I'm now expecting to see you on National Geographic everytime a ship is discovered.
