Touring Car Legends- ITV4 8pm

Post by Danny@APT »

Did anyone else catch this tonight?

I missed the start as I forgot it was on, but it was pretty good- I'd think it was quite nostalgic for anyone who remembers seeing Capri's and Rover SD1's racing back in the day.

Next week kicks-off with the Cosworth era (one for Pablo and Bart, for sure) :D

This week is driver based, I think the show talking about the cars will be better. Cavalier GSi's, 2 wheeled 155's, happy happy days!

Hopefully they'll re-show this as I missed it...
[img] Q. If you were stranded on a desert island, who would you rather be stranded with....Ray Mears or Bear Grylls?

A. No question....Ray Mears....you could make a shit load more stew out of that tubby little fecker [/img]

It may end up on the ITV player on line too. The racing footage is amazing, the 60's stuff with no cages, no safety stuff, and really close racing. (The 450bhp Galaxies went like rockets, 160mph is quoted @ Snetterton with no cage!!)

Was excellent - laughed imagining us lot turning up in suits and racing, no belts and old leather helmets.

Great 2nd episode......quite scary when you see the names of great racers who are no longer with us Keith O'dor. ...David Leslie.....Will Hoy.....all terrific drivers sadly gone.
John Cleland was a legend who never ever admitted if he was in the wrong and he quite often was.
