Harrow Car Club

Post by warboys »

Some of you have been members in the past and have asked what is happening. Well on Friday 14th June the HCC held an Extraordinary General Meeting, at that meeting a new committee was elected. I am proud to inform you all that I am now officially the Chairman of the Harrow Car Club.

The new committee are due to hold their first meeting tomorrow, at which we will start to shape the future of the club. We now have a website which is live, but still under construction, this can be found at http://www.harrowcarclub.net

We also have a facebook group, some of you have found that already, which is great.

We are hoping to increase our event calendar to include more social events such as gokarting events, auctions, B road excursions etc.

We will continue to organise Sprint meetings and Autotests and Autosolos.

I would be really please if we could get some of you guys into the Autosolo scene. I know a lot of you miss sprinting, but also struggle with the regs etc. Autosolo is like sprinting, but there are no restrictions on modifying the car, so long as it is taxed and tested. There is no requirement to wear a crash helmet and there is no requirement for overalls. Cars are not put into classes, drivers are, based on their skill, which is assessed on number of events they have entered and whether or not they have won awards. Its also cheap, entries for Autosolos are very rarely over
