Would nt lose sleep just yet mate.
EU stuff does nt happen quickly, and the tuning industry in Europe is worth millions of Euro's every year.
I'm going to look on here and will be seeing Dave tomorrow be asking there too.

Isnt this all hype again, there will be clauses and exceptions to the rule.
Not worth worrying about just yet in my opinion.

OR (bare with me) we spread the word that modded cars are doomed and illegal, prices crash, we buy Supra's Rex's and Skylines etc for FA and laugh our arses off all the way to the petrol pumps!!

They won't be checking ride-on mowers so I couldn't give a monkeys at the moment
I fully expected that this would be a lot of bluster, but the crackdowns on mods in certain European countries started somewhere, didn't they?

Another Brussels dictat, or should that be Bavarian, either way it is rather worrying, we as a nation tend to follow such legislation to the letter without any leeway.
I am a bit out of touch with reading legislation but I think that it will be up to the individual to prove that their modified vehicle is compliant with manufacturers original design, even if the modification is in fact superior to the original. How do you demonstrate compliance with an imported vehicle what standard should apply
Not sure how quickly this could be implemented perhaps our MOT members can cast some light on this.
All in all just another brick in the wall

i have to say i am now into "grey box" motoring on the road (scooby sold) ,only modding i am likely to do now will be track related . I have enough hassle with vehicles and legislation at work as it is .

I can't see it happening myself due to the money generated from it all
But if it did imagine the cars that will be worth fuck all
I'd need a bigger yard.

Personaly i also cant see this happening. I would have thought if something does happen then surely it would it be like when the P.L.G system was dropped for the co2 ratings and only affect cars newly registered after the law is applied?
