Fun begins for the VXR lads @ 4 mins
Video car is claimed to be 450 bhp scooby ??
I have no association with the video owner or driver of the car and can not be held responsable for his "lines" on track.

Thought you guys might like to see if for some fun.

There's a difference between having a 450bhp Scooby +having it setup correctly and being able to drive one properly

Plus it didnt seem he was pushing it hard.

Nice video

When you say '450hp' I take it you kind of know that he clearly either
a) hasn't got 450hp
b) doesn't know how to use it
c) really wasn't trying
There is simply no way that you guys would all pull away from a genuine 450hp car on the straights, regardless of any potential lack of driver potential, so I reckon option A or C, or maybe a bit of both.
You and the red VXR looked like you were having a right laugh!

Yeh you're right guys I'm being a little carefull as I know not of the guy who owns the car he just commented on facebook that we came past him on the straight and then mentioned his horsepower etc .
Although as you can see from the video his lines are not great but i think he may have had an issue with the car ?
Yes we were having a right good time to be fair , although when we got in the marshalls had a quiet word in our ear as at times we were very very close

caught up in the moment and all that.
Anyway not bragging about the fact we overtook him, just thought i'd mention what the video car was.
I dont care if i pass one car or two hundred i was having a ball

The scoob is the one on Stuart's 2nd photo
http://www.bigpower.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=19483 It had only just been finished and Steve was getting used to the 458bhp it made. Later in the day it blew a hole in the block as it was still running on standard WRX internals. Steve is currently installing a new STI lump as far as I know.
Jon or Fezza might be able to tell you more as they are good friends with Steve.

Thanks for your input Jon , i think you may have got it wrong i did not post to make it a " i am quicker than a 450bhp scooby" thread at all just the guy hit me up on facebook and mentioned he was about 465 BHP so thought id mention it .
Regardless of horsepower new car new tyres new brakes etc i would like to think a good "line" on circuit should and could be achived but thats just IMO
As i have said above great to here he has the car up and running again and cant wait to get ut on the next track day.
For anyone who is interested i have NO ecu remap on my car and anticapate about 280-285 horse power.
As for your Friends comments about our driving .
Unless your friends are marshall with the greatest of respect i could not give a crap what they think.
Ill let the marshalls tell me if there is anything wrong with my driving .
Anyway as i said not wishing to start an argument and yes your right See you on the 14th

That's Steve.
He had problems with grinding out on some parts of the circuit, therefore had to take it fairly easy otherwise the marshalls were going to kick him off. He'll be back on for the 14th with around 420bhp or so i believe.
p.s. think his fastest lap of the day was about a 1m flat... pretty quick i think!

Yeh think he mentioned the bottoming out issues .
Not good. I imagine paddock was causing an issue but never mind.
As said look forward to getting out on track again on the 14th
