Hi all..
Been popping in every now and again but since the removal of all the toys from the household i dont like to tempt myself too much.
The main project is now getting to the sharp end and i am going to need some help in certain areas. Advice mainly as i have a lot of the normal skills within the family.
So as a really cheeky ask do we have any
1 Architects
2 Plumbers (registered and qualified)
3 Electricians (as above)

Mainly needed to Get all the relevant legalities done correctly and to sign off works done and connect those systems that need to be done "properly"
Needless to say the architect is first on the list for obvious reasons. I would also like any recommended companies for house/ conversion work.
I always like to go with someone recommended to me.
Bizzarely i also need a tree surgeon registered with the forestry commision...... Dont ask.

I will put up some pics when it is appropriate to do so..

Cheers
Jay

I'm a structural engineer :)

Architects can be a bit hard to find and tend to specialise in certain categories so if you don't get a recomendation then search through your local paper or yellow pages, get some references and go have a look at their work, some will project manage some won't, if you just need someone to draw some plans up and submit to building control/EA/planners etc maybe look for a local architectural technican as it won't be so expensive (and they will do most of the donkey work anyway even at a propper architects practice) or if you know what you want and want plans then pm me ;)
