Another reason why we love James

Received a phone call today at 11:30am from James @ Snetterton, 'Rob you can take time off this afternoon to valet a customers car cant you??'
We do, do a bit of valeting on the side of all the breaking we(makes a change, making a car look nice rather then taking them apart)
So when we found out that Jason Plato wanted his Porsche Turbo professionally valeted, we thought it would be rude to say no
We arrived to find the paddock bustling with btcc trucks, cars and technicians(they were all there testing)
The car was in the middle of the RLM Silverline pit area - so as if valeting a top racing drivers 100k porsche wasnt daunting we also had to do it in front of the whole team, Jasons fathers and members of the public!!
Even when we put it in one of the pit garages to finish detailing it we had a handful of guesting watching us...lol
luckily the job went like clock work, the car was a bit of a state for which we gave Jason some banter for when he came to see us
The car looked absolutely spotless when we finished and most importantly Jason and his father were over the moon with the finished results - they were both shocked when we said we didnt do it for a living
it now came down to payment - before we had a chance to name a price we were offered a amazing deal!!
we are hopefully getting Mr Plato to endorse our website, also we have been invited back to the touring car race meeting as Jasons personal guests, full vip treatment which he said was available to the public, money cant buy tickets! whilst we are there we should also be getting some professional pictures taken with us and jason by the teams media team!!
to say ben and i left happy was an understatement, even though we were working and it took some hard graft to get the car sparkling we had a great afternoon. We have been a great chance at some awesome media coverage and publicity and to top it all off we met a racing legend, who im pleased to inform is such a nice guy, we had a good laugh and a joke with him with hopefully more to follow in 3 weeks
All this would not have been possible without James(safety james) - really appreciate it mate!!
anyway i thought i'd write a quick report for you guy to read - hope i havent bored you too much:blush5:
