Pretty sure that was Ron Kiddell's car and equally pretty sure it was nothing like 800hp. Great clip though and you can see why people like Yamada are hired to extract great times from cars @ Tsukuba, when they have very little time to get acquainted.

Nice find Pabs

Am i the only one that thought his driving looked crap and sloppy?

I know who Yamada is and know hes a very good and respected driver but he didnt look quick or smooth?

Maybe im wrong

Far from smooth but his lap times were quite impressive from memory. If you are interested Frayz, Google his name at somewhere like Tsukuba. Still a little wild in certain respects but capable of threading the Cyber Evo around there quicker than just about anyone else on the planet.

I've seen film of him there Stu. He's fast but not as impressive to watch onboard as his laptimes suggest.

I'm not intentionally bitching, just kinda expected more.

No intentional bitching detected, you carry on

I think that the very fact that this guy (and several others) can drive very high horsepower cars around seriously demanding circuits, jumping from one car to another setting faster lap times than other drivers could achieve, is impressive in itself. There are very few occasions where I watch a clip and think 'Wow, look at his/her car control'. Compared to the likes of Rohrl, Roser or various others, a lot of very talented drivers look average.

Can't argue with the results though. I wish I was that unimpressive :D
