Do you need some kind of license for this Logan.......would have thought there would be some kind of legal requirements........ask Hayward. He loves VOSA :D

Not sure Stuart, as long as its smaller than a 7.5t I thought it would be fine.

If I can't source one then I'll revert back to car and trailer hire.

Logan,
If I might butt in, I think a bigger hurdle here might be the insurance. The guys who use these would ordinarily have pretty hefty public liability insurance built into their business cover, not sure your existing cover will be enough.

Might be worth a big cup of tea and a read of this boring, boring text...

Where are you based? I know a London firm that rent 3.5t single car transporters.

Too far from me, I'm up in the wilds of East Anglia.

Cheers anyway.

No problem,

I have the difficult scenario of having a silly schoolboy licence which prevents me from towing a race car. Means I have to rent a 3.5t transporter instead. *sigh*
