Another year gone!

Yes it really has been a year since i posted last!

I've got a new car.

I sold my Xantia Turbo earlier in the year. It was going very well after a hybrid turbo was added, but the ECU was never happy and kept throwing codes, and it was getting a bit old.

So i went for ths 220. Quicker out the box, doesnt handle as sharp or as nimble but still a fine drive. The V6 is my first non-turbo car for about 10 years so i do miss the wallop but enjoying the smooth, refined delivery.

I've so far added a Milltek catback and K&N filter, this is being replaced with a Pipercross VIS which fits in the bumper to stop the heat soak issue, there is little space in the engine bay for other solutions.

It also has a Bluefin handset remap, which works really well for a generic.

Its had a bloody good clean and detail, i've refurbished the wheels and done a bit of paint here and there so its as tidy as a 2003 will get really.

Really want to do a track day and Pod in it soon, just for the hell of it!

Good to see you back on here, especially with a Ford;)
They are good cars the 220's, especially for sustained high speeds.
Does look clean for a 7 year old car mate, well done!

The 220? Is that the 3 litre one?
Nice cars and much like Drifter's GSi Vectra, great value for money.

Welcome back. The range of cars on here continues to get more diverse, week by week.

Yes, 3 litre V6 Duratec. Quite sought after as most are ex-rep oil burners.

Done a few more shots this afternoon, will start a new thread for that.

Welcome back Gareth. That should be quite good fun on the track. Not sure if the 220 suffers from it aswell butwhen I had the 2.5 V6 I was told to be careful as they suffer from oil surge. A baffled sump was suggested.

I've heard of the oil surge issue before, think the trick is to overfill them slightly. May never happen of course!
