guaging interest of parts i have

Post by Jaffaz32 »

Hi,

I realise i need to be a full member which i used to be to sell parts etc.

However i have several parts for sale and gauging if there is any interest in the parts and if it is worth while i will pay my subs.

Copied from another forum.

"I Have several parts for sale which i was intending on fitting to the 300zx some brand new and some used. and some very sort after.

Just a idea of some of the parts i have, would they be interest to the club? or not your thing?

Brand new, 18" Blitz Type 03 rims with brand new tyres (295 on the rear)

Defi Tachometer and Defi VSD heads up display, both brand new.

Bride Seat rails (300zx) brand new.

300zx calipers with brembo disks and porterfield pads along with braided lines, disks and pads have about 1000 road miles use.

Also misc things like hicas lock bars, anti roll bars, 900bhp capable turbo package, and full engine rebuild parts all aftermarket to a very high spec including pretty much everything. all brand new.

Allot of the parts are 300zx specific as where some are generic parts like the Blitz and the Defi's.

Would these sort of parts be of interest to your club members?

If so how do i go about posting in the for sale section?

Thanks...

Chris."

People may ask why i have these for sale well to cut a long story short, my brief to a well respected garage up towards the Midlands/North was i wanted a 8-900bhp 300zx after pushing 520bhp they took on the work after two years in their hands i had enough of the lies and come to realise they wasn't up to the task and their reputation for being one of the best in my experience was all rubbish and myth. I brought my car home in a total state and mess and all my parts which majority were brand new. I was also thousands of pounds out of pocket and i mean thousands of pounds. This happened concluded mid last year, i have sold many parts and would like to move the rest on.

I think it's fair to ask if my parts would be of any interest as there are many clubs and paying subs to all would not be worth my time. If i am guaranteed a sale of all means i will pay my subs and post up in the for sale section.

I see your point Chris but what's to say that someone doesn't PM you direct? :)

I'm happy to let this roll for now but I'll leave you to do the decent thing when and if you sell some bits, how's that?

There is far more to your

Which begs the question, Why don't you want to continue with your membership?

Not trying to be funny but is it just because you no longer have a capable car, the format doesn't appeal or some other reason?

Sorry to hear about your car. Bad experience in the hands of 'experts' seems all too common. :(

Thanks Stuart.

Gerry my membership elapsed mainly because Thor Racing had my car for 2 years to build a 8-900bhp 300zx which they led me on, lied to me and just messed me around and in the end resulted in me collecting my car pulled apart in bits and along with a transit van full of brand new parts. During that time as many of us would be i lost my heart in the car scene and actually was pretty house bound as i let it get to me more than you could imagine, especially after the amount of money i had pumped into that car in parts and labour etc. to Thor which all went to waste in the end.

Originally i was presented with 3 option,

1. move my car to a more capable garage to fix what damage was done and to carry on with the work, allot would have had to be scrapped and started again.

2. Engine swap, i was considering a 20B turbo or a 26B NA which would of been a custom build rotary which i was so close to signing the dotted line on.

3. A different car altogether, for me it had to be Japanese as that is what it's all about for me and all my mates have the Jap cars and i wanted to be part of the same shows. But after having a 520bhp 300zx where would i go from there? I wanted something rare and unique, considered a R35 GTR but i believe it wouldnt be long until they become kinda common, well not common as such but you know what i mean, saying that the other day i saw two together in the city, seen several on the roads. Only other car which i thought could meet my criteria was a NSX.

So that's what i did, i looked and looked and finally found the car for me. I wanted a pre facelift as they have more tuning potential and prefer the lift up lights. After 3 months of looking i found the NSX for me, i wanted one in a imaculate condition and 1995 onwards, UK, Targa and in manual.

Actually hang on, will try upload a pic or two.

BennyBoy, it's going very well thanks. I had it valeted the other day and came up sweet :D

Bloody good move, that is awesome!

I am sorry to hear about your woes with Thor; we invest so much more than money into these things, it is difficult to know where to draw the line sometimes.

Best of luck

Yeah exactly Stuart.

It is my passion the whole car scene is my life pretty much.

The whole experience wasted 2 years of my life.

I have to move on like you say and look into the future.

I loved my 300zx and although the 300 was quicker when it was running 520hp the NSX is a different league. I wouldn't have the NSX now if it wasn't for Thor and the 300zx saga so in a way it's not all bad.

The NSX is completely standard and my brother has a RX7 running roughly 350hp with side port, induction, full exhaust system and Apexi power Fc and the NSX and the RX7 are nose to nose, nothing in it at all which took me by surprise seeing that the RX7 is light, 50/50, 80bhp up on me and being a rotary.

I'm trying not to drive it at the moment as it is almost due a service and the tyres have about 2.5mm treat on the rear and getting close to that legal limit. Waiting for my service items to arrive and then will get the tyres sorted when it goes in for the service.

Welcome back on the scene Jaffa. Love the NSX. Would not like to try and park it though, but they are for driving so no problem i suppose lol.

Thanks for the esplanation my concern was that it was something you didn't like about this site. I didn't know you'd had so much crap to deal with.

But what a fantastic choice to move on with, that NSX is a beaut.
