i will be contacting ian (ian200sx) straight away ;)

As far as can remember from my escort days the e was in a 2 door and 4 door, full of wood on the dash round the clocks tops of the doors dont think they came with round head lights. just the rectangle ones, had a tubular exhaust manifold twin choke weber carb. And the E badge down the back roof pilar with a vinyl roof. thats about it i think. mike

look out for corrosion around the mcpherson strut top mounts.

My first car was a 1100cc 2 door mk1 ......................if i'd have kept it I'd have been a lot better off me thinks.............

Blimey!! Shed loads of happy memories seeing that. I had a White 1100 2dr. :D

Lovely car by the way...buy it for god's sake!!

It will cost bugger all to restore. Alternatively it has to be a likely candidate for a 2.0L RS Mexico conversion. Very nice one!! :D

Edited to add: Mk1/Mk2 RS2000/RS Mexico restorer - http://rs-garage.co.uk/

dont worry guys we are about 95% sure we will, just dont know whether we will restore it, or clean the old girl up and sell to someone else to restore

either way it should be back on the road where it deserves
