Just taken the Impreza for a MOT which it passed, a few advisorys though.
Rear discs corroded and brake pads seem low, which is fine because i have 4 + 2 pot upgrade kit to fit.
It also advised that i had no cat fitted but this was ok because my car was an import!
All emissions nice and low.
Is this the norm?
I hope it is because i was saving up for a sport cat!

My Impreza was an import but failed on emissions with no cat. Not heard that one before. I'd consider myself lucky :)

Are you sure it does not have one of the cats still fitted?

It says on the advisory sheet "Vehicle is Japanese import no cat fitted to system"
Emissions were, CO level 3.08% and HC level 212 ppm.
Im not sure if it still has one fitted, i will check.

On RX7s I think its pre 1993 cars that are allowed under the non cat test.

What age is your Scoob ?

As your car is an import the emission regs are different! Something to do with the year of manufacture on your log book only being a guide of first year of use? I would`nt question it just take it as a bonus!:) Your m.o.t station are quite right.
