Morning all . Any body have a clue how to remove paint overspray from a pollished s/s exhaust without spoiling the finish. There is quite a lot of it so polishing it off would take a life time. Any ideas would be helpfull.

T-Cut. Contains petroleum distillates and will break down the paint.

Use plenty of it, let it soak into the overspray then with a bit more on a cloth soaked with T-Cut rub it off. Won't affect the shine of your SS exhaust, then buff up afterwards with a clean soft cloth.

If you haven't got T-Cut get some paint thinners from your local auto paint shop (cheap enough) and soak a cloth with it and rub off the oversrpay. Thinners will be quicker but stinks and if you get it on to your hands will dry the moisture and oils right out of your skin so use some Blue latex food gloves, not the plain cream coloured ones as they will melt with the thinners.

Shieet mate can you shrink the size of the pic in your autosignature please its monstrous !!!!

Overspray is easily removed with the Meguiars clay, I've used it on my exhaust and it hasnt left any scratches. Make sure you spray the area thoroughly and dont push too hard when using the clay and give it a good clean with a decent metal polish like autosol or Meguiars exhaust one afterwards.
