fuel line repairing??

my little sir has a fuel leak and i was wondering the best way of getting it fixed? can you buy the lines or do i need to cal pirtek out?

Hi rob. it all depends which piece is leaking. iIf its a rubber hose then just buy some rubber fuel line,its very cheap. If its a metal fuel line then it might be cheaper to buy a second hand original part. Pirtec would be a last resort for me but thats only because i begrudge paying people to do work which i could do. The only bonus of useing pirtec would be the work would have some sort of garentee.

its a metal piece...and looks like a bitch to sort as there are no joins one end - it goes right through the car into and through the firewall
the other end it connected to a banjo bolt
i have pirtek coming out now as it seems the best way - guarantee is a bonus.

pirtek have now been and gone...they are coming back later this week to sort it

Well done rob. Pirtec aint to bad , we use them all the time when we have pipes break on our trucks as they are usually very quick to arrive & do a reasonable job considering they work out the back of a van. Hope they can get it sorted for you
