XBOX World tour of nothern europe.

Post by maff »

3 red lights happened a couple of weeks ago so off to MS's website and ordered up a coffin.

No coffin, instead they have a new plan where they send you and email with a label to print out and then cart it off to UPS.

Fair enough off to ups and diligently watch the tracking thing.

Norwich -> Tamworth (er, wrong way guys!)

Tamworth -> Barking (better)

Barking -> Frankfurth (Wahey, touch down)

Email comes in from MS we have received your console fixed it and sent it back to you. Awesome, that was damn fast! Keep watching the tracking.

Frankfurt -> Barking

Barking -> Tamworth (ok, so it must be a hub)

Tamworth -> Barking (er... guys?)

Barking -> Frankfurt (FFS! Did it die in transit? )

Email UPS, "oi, the mrs waited in all day, wtf is my xbox?"

Meanwhile back on the interwebs i get an email from MS "Dear sir, you put in a repair request, if you dont send it we cant fix it" er... ok, MS keep taking the pills.

Email back from UPS "Er sorry, we fucked up, tell you what we'll try again ok? It will definately be there on monday 8th of december"

Back to watching the tracking.

Frankfurt -> Barking

Barking -> Tamworth (yup, must be a hub)

Meanwhile back on the interwebs i get a 2nd and 3rd email from MS "Dear sir, you put in a repair request, if you dont send it we cant fix it" ffs.

Email MS "Dear, MS, youve already fixed it, you were really quick ,if ups had got it right id be playing lego star wars as we speak, stop the emails! k thanks."

Phone call from the mrs, "Your XBOX has come back today, thought you said it wouldnt be here till monday? you were lucky i was home" :?

Email from MS "Dear sir, thank you for asking about repairing your xbox, please follow these online instructions...."

Email from MS "Dear sir, you put in a repair request, if you dont send it we cant fix it".

Email from MS "Dear sir, you put in a repair request, if you dont send it we cant fix it".

Arghhhhh!!

I think too many people have too many automated systems, bloody computers the world would be a better place without em... cept xboxs of course, and ps3s and wiis and that motec ecu is nice and i really like my phone, but apart from all them.... bloody computers!

ok rant over... wonder how long itll last this time, although all will be forgiven if theyve replaced the xbox with one with an HDMI, heres hoping.

The customer service experience difference between MS and Sony is light years apart. It's the biggest reason I don't own one and I do own the other.

Yes I have one that I use when I bring the 360 downstairs. I have a Wii component lead so plug them both into the switch box and then another lead into the tv.

It works a treat, you set one as the primary and one as the secondary and it switches automatically.

I probably didnt buy the cheapest one and cant remember where I got it but will try and dig out some details for you.

Did you have a chance to find any details? ive read no end of customer reviews on play and amazon and what works fine for one guy seems taters for another.

Theyve got a deal at play on this:
http://www.play.com/Games/Xbox360/4-/74 ... oduct.html

But again reviews are either its great or its pants, why can this be simple like cars eh? :D
