Bart was at work last night at the university where there was a large event going on, something to do with Earth and Enviroment for the students. Whilst standing there being bored to tears by some student waffling on about saving the planet or something like that the student asked asked Alan about what he did when not at work................Bad mistake

Alan's reply was 'I have a race car that does 8 miles to the gallon'

Alan said the look on the guys face was priceless...he thought he was having a heart attack so to ease the guys pain he went on to say

'Oh don't worry i've got 2 other cars 1 gets 15 mpg and the other gets 20 mpg' :roll:

The older I get, the more people seem to overreact. Maybe it's just the move to Norfolk that has helped to 'chill' me out but whether it's the papers, the radio or TV, even average Joe at work; everyone is either outraged or orgasmically happy. I know of very few people that enjoy a modicum of balance in their lives. (Perhaps they all watch soaps and think that Eastenders is their benchmark for normal acceptable behaviour)

He didn't mention how much oil they drop then?

Ha ha ha, I did Environmental Sciences at uni and now I drive an RX7 which drinks both petrol and oil in large quantities.......mwah ha ha ha haaaaaaa

I'll never forget one lesson where one of the students was complaining that he went to walk his dog at a beach in Norfolk and that there were a load of Landrovers racing and tearing up the beach doing loads of damage to the beach and neighbouring land. Everyone was agreeing thinking it was shocking..........I just kept quiet and thought it sounded really cool !!!!
