oooops done it again

Post by Tk »

im not sure what happened today but im now the owner of a mk2 8v golf
purchased from a family member at a price i could not say no to , its an G reg 8v with scorpion stainless exhaust/ some wilder cam / induction filter and its done 114.000 miles
the mot just run out got a little bit of tax interior is mint with no bolster wear atall, im now undecided what to do with it and dont know why i bought it,
i got 3 options 1/ my new dedicated trackcar 2/get an mot on it and shift it on for a profit 3/shift it on as it is
it is absolutely covered in mud at the moment and animal paw prints but once cleaned up should look pretty respectable.
only issues are clutch feels high (although does not slip) crunches into 2nd and top end sounds noisy when warm, dont know if this is to do with the cam or not , it certainly pulls ok though for an 8v

sounds more like a forsale thread  but watch this space it could be

Tidy it up and sell it on. The Impreza is the ideal sprint/track car and the mk1 is the 'gti' to have.

Only my opinion of course...........you entering this at Debden then? :D

would be entertaining to have a mk2 banzai battle with you  if i had a trailer i would consider it, i cant insure another car on the road i already got 4 policys, soon to be 3 when i pull my finger out and advertise the focus

think i'l stick the golf in for an mot and see what it fails on (if anything) if it does fail then i might even break it,
fitting a 20vt engine is also an option

im off to santa pod tomorrow for gti festival in the mk1 if the weathers good, may even run the mk1. might be able to do a 16 second run
