new tyres versus old ones for snetterton?

I have a difficult decision to make. The yoko's on the car have a couple of mill tred left on the edges. Not sure whether to replace them this weekend prior to snetterton or after. Im worried that the tyres will be too "new" as they would only have around 150 miles on them prior to snetterton. Is the track hard on tyres or will this be enough for 150 miles there 3 sessions and 150 miles back?
what do you reckon guys? Ive gotta decide before midday tomorrow to order the tyres if I go for the new ones prior to next Thursday.

Wear and tear is always very difficult to predict Graham. In honesty the track is not that abrasive and the length of time you'll be on circuit will not be that intensive. Having said that it's a long time to come if you get caught out.
I would play it safe. If you only have space for one set (or indeed you only have one set) buy the new tyres and try and get them scrubbed in as quick as you can.

If you can't get your new tyres in time Graham, I can bring my track wheels with me just in case you need some to get home on or you could use them on track and put your Yokos back on to go home. I offer this on the presumtion that they would fit your car. They are 245/45/16 AVS, not sure on the offset but they are 5 X 114 pcd. If you are interested I can check on the offset for you if the other sizes are suitable.
If you want to talk to me about it or ask any questions either reply on here or pm me or my mobile number is in the members area.
Cheers
Nik

Nik thanks for the very kind offer I think id struggle to fit them.Ive taken the plunge and am getting new ones fitted on Sat. Just hope 150-200 miles is enough to take the newness off of em so to speak.
Ive just got to get some eyebolts now for the harnesses as cant find mine  another job for the weekend. Anxiously looking forward to Thursday. Its a bit worrying when the Mrs isnt sure if she wants to be a passenger with me driving

Maybe before the track day some very quiet B roads are in order with a few grand prix starts thrown in for good measure.
If you get stuck when you get your tyres fitted i'd be happy to scrub them in for you

I was gonna say, it will take no more than about 10 minutes in your car to get them very nicely scrubbed indeed  We have some cracking roads around these parts.
Eyebolts should be easy enough to source. Give me a shout if you get stuck.
