Well I thought I would let you know of a new event at Waterbeach in Cambridge that we have been asked to cater for with the burger van.
Have a look at the link and see what you think
http://www.javelintrackdays.co.uk/track ... s.html#jul
For those of you that need more time on the quarter this will be the event to attend, the more support for this event the better
It will also have a twisty drag race for those of you who want to see how your car handles over a timed quarter mile
See you there

This event has also been discussed elsewhere on BigPower:

I don't want to undermine the event at all & i am an advocate of Javelin Trackdays & they work very hard to put on events & trackdays for the likes of us, however i though it only fair to enlighten people to the condition of the surface when i was there earlier this year.(see pics on the thread above).
Cheers

Yes,
Twisty Drag Race seems very like a sprint to me.
Good value, but the surface does look pretty awful. It would be interesting if anyone can find out if the area they are going to use can be tidied up a bit.

Im hoping to do the Woodbridge event on 28th June.
The track they used was great with some lovely little twisties to have an excuse to take on lock, a nice long sweeper at the end of the straight away from everyone you could take full bore on lock in 3rd and unfortunately their black flag worked when I went in and out of what was deemed a impenetrable zone of cones on lock  :-D although I didnt touch any cones, it was just getting on lock before the apex of the previous corner from the chicane on the straight before that that annoyed them I think - and it was beside the control cabin which I guess was a bit of a pish take !!

I will speak to them and find out if they are doing anything to the track, they normally sweep before an event and pick up any debris and as time goes on the track gets cleaner each meeting. I can't see as it would be bad as they are very conscientious and are always looking to improve events

I might be interested in a blast out on this as it is literally just up the road from me. I've got an old set of tyres I want to kill
