Main Event

Post by trackday addict »

Bloody hell - it's serious time soon :o

Well have bitten the bullet & entered the FIA Main Event & to be honest with decent regular launches & me driving properly I think the car will do ok.

It will be fantastic from a bum in the seat/practice/ car set up perspective & really really looking forward to it. :)

I've entered 2 classes (see link below - Competition eliminator & Super Pro et) Have entered both just to try & find out which class longer term the car would be better suited to. Personally i think it will be comp eliminator as a turbo car is never going to be as reliable to run within 100's of sec to it's dial in time as a n/a monster, lose the boost on teh start line & it's forget the run time.

Be fantastic to line up maybe against Andy Frost in Red Victor
:o 8)

We will absolutely get our arses kicked but got to start somewhere & be fantastic fun & memories - life is far to short.

With running the car a lot more it may bring breakages but will no doubt also bring a lot of knowledge & experience & lower times rather than turning up 3 or 4 times a year just in the HKS series.

Driving a fast Jap import is like coming out of the closet, you might surprise some people, but in the end you are still gay.

Crossing everything for you John :-D

Let's hope that this year you get both the reliability and the times that we all want to see 8)

This was fantastic to watch and John ran incredibly well. Lined up against Andy Frost as couple of times!

Ran about 6 8.1 second passes and certainly more to come. Well done mate, shame the weather robbed us of a couple more days racing. Roll on Japshow....
