Hopefully Brands will be dry and we'll have a proper start to the season after the Snetterton washout. A full grid booked in with 1 reserve. Hopefully a trend that will stay for the rest of the season.
the closest I've been to brands is Toca 2 in a Volvo as we are a little time limted for testing due to other racing comitments
I'm looking forward to tackling paddock hill bend for real but there were one or two mishaps at the bottom of the hill last year

What a brilliant day at Brands. I still can't stop smilling.

I made a good start and managed to dive to the inside but one of the cars up the grid didn't get away so ended up behind another 8v going through Paddock Hill for the 1st time.

Nick Porter had a bit of a moment in front and during the recovery a 16V snuck between the class leader and myself.

I was using 2nd gear to get some drive out of Druids but developed a gear selection issue 5 laps in meaning I only had 3rd and 4th. Luckily all I needed but it was costing me a bit of time and I was slowly getting caught by #27 Craig Roberts in another 8v.

He was all over me through Druids as I was going in way too deep to keep momentum up for the exit. Craig had a dive up the inside so in true oval racing fasion I lent on him through the corner forcing his inside wheels on the grass (he wasn't too chuffed but hey).

After losing some ground his hands were full of two chasing 16v's for the remaining laps allowing me to keep chasing the 8v class leader but he was still pulling away.

I'm absolutly chuffed to bits with 2nd and would like to thank JC, Ian Hudson Graeme Cooper and Brian from BJ & C Carberry transport for all thier help over the weekend.

Roll on Cadwell!
