I am just redesinging our website, http://www.d-c-y.com (the black is the old site)

I am just working on the link topics on the left hand side. I am removing a few, renaming a few and adding a few.

Can you guys think of anything thats missing from the site?

What would you like to see on an Import site?

George

I must admit I looked earlier on but could not think of anything to improve it. I think it was your website I looked at when I first got an impreza and was considering an import many years ago, It deffinantly made me want an import then

Can't you just jump into the main page rather than having to enter through another page?

Personally I hate 'landing pages', I dont think they add anything to a website apart from another step in getting to it.

However I do like the style of the landing page as it is clean and stylish, if this could be adapted over the main pages it would be better IMO.

Not really to do with what is in the links or what I would like to see on the pages as I am not interested in importing a car at the moment but in terms of general website thoughts.....in my view it would look better with:

1. a font other than Arial Rounded MT Bold as it looks a little too 'playschool' and go with something like Tahoma or just plain Arial which is better able to downsize to a small font like the Cars available to Import section (which is unreadable on my system)

2. Single pixel borders around the left and right menu areas using a CSS style of border rather than the table tag of border="1' (which actually adds a 2 pixel border)

3. Also a single pixel upper and bottom CSS border to the menu titles rather than a table border of 1 as above.

4. I love the yellow against that grey on the landing page but that yellow is gone when you get to the main screens - perhaps making the links yellow would make them stand out more and brighten the page at the same time.

5. The actual html is a little 'heavy' and could be cut down a lot to make it load better and also allow it to be ranked higher by the search engines.

All in my opinion and not meant to detract from what I think is a very detailed and smart website :thumb:

I had started writing this yesterday, but got sidetracked with work (damned thing gets in the way ) - websites are what i do for a full time living :D

No RX7 in the vehicle spec !!!!! Nor Civic's and you have those in stock.

Not a fan of the landing page where you have to click to enter and I think the text on it is too small. Look at all the space above it.

Other than that the site is superb with a load of really useful info and nice to see the time attack details on there.

Also liking fast and the furious 1 and 2 links....made me laugh !!!!!
