results from santa pod 5/4/08

Post by Ian (DaOne) »

this was my 1st time this year at the pod, with a few new mods from last year, new clutch, light weight flywheel, and a couple of engine mods.

At first I thought my clutch was slipping as didnt feel like the car was going anywhere off the line, and hitting the liminter abit, over the next couple of runs, i spoke to a few people who watched my runs, and they said all 4 wheels were lighting up off the line in 1st gear and a v little bit in second.

it was a cold day, but the rain was on and off all the time, so the track prob was not at its best for grip.

i am happy with the results, and compaired to least year i am 0.143 seconds faster 1/4 mile over my best last year and 3.2 mph faster over the line, than my fastest time last year

here are the results

Yeh, bit of a bummer that queue, was keen to get home as I was knackered after getting up early and being cold all day at the Sprint.

The Impreza was looking nice :D
