1 week to go...

Post by Dill »

And my head gasket has been confirmed as knacked.
Was dye tested and it went green. Simple enough for some, not for me.
Hopefully get engine out tomorrow as long as they can fit me in at the garage, then its a case of seeing if heads need skimming (can't think why they would), then what thickness of gaskets to order, and then if the suppliers (got a few to call now for best price :) ) have them in stock.......

Also not got fuel surge issue sorted or oil cooler system ordered, thinking of maybe getting one off the driftworks site, sems reasonable price.

So anyone else got 'issues'

erm..... issues..... erm one or two  :D

Apart from the car being dead, most things are sorted though, just baffling in the cump to deal with.

I am leaving fuel surge issues until Knockhill and will just run at over 1/2 tank at Donny.

Gutted for you with the head gasket problem, I am sure it will be done in time.

yup... Near standard R32 GTR

We've donated our old brakes, spare wheels and tyres....... had to buy new seat, harnesses etc...

Owner (Marc at The Garage (sponsor)) is paying for it to be MOT'd/Taxed etc and the susp bushes that are worn. Think its getting new rear arms too.

So.... it'll be a wee bit down on power compared to our old one, not much though as ours was running mega low boost for the engine/turbo's.... Susp is my main concern.... we were running Tein Circuit Master... this is standard :O hehehe
