I`m sick to death of having problems with everything you buy. Nothing is ever simple. Pay that kind of money I expect it to be perfect.

Interesting lcds and plasma do have some bedding in time - when I got my plasma it would ghost for a while - but now i've had it some time it doesn't.

Ask the shop you got it from.

Mine has a bit of ghosting, and heard the same thing about bedding in. Just thought this problem might be part of that process or maybe the scart leads are too old?

sounds like a a scart lead problem to me , mine had a similar problem , and i found one of the scarts was not pushed in all the way .

This is called "Vertical Banding", you need to adjust your horizontal position/size screen settings, if the lines disappear you're ok. If it stays there you may have a defective screen. If you decide to send it back, I suggest the Sony Bravia 42" LCD HD 1080p, it has the best customer ratings in the states. My Dad just bought one and what a difference from Samsung or Pioneer!!

thanks for the advice, try the screen settings tonight. Don't fancy buying a plasma as they aren't reliable so I`ve heard.
