I've just ordered a small gell battery..... normally these dont need to be in boxes for MSA regs etc... but can anyone confirm what is required for TimeAttack?
The regs dont clearly differentiate between liquid/gell
8.2 Batteries must be securely mounted and all connections in a serviceable and clean condition. Positive terminals must be insulated. Negative leads should be braided or have yellow identifying marking. Batteries housed in the driver compartment must be securely mounted in a sealed and insulated box.

Adam - I would check with Marc Herridge the scrutineer.
scrutineer@timeattack.co.uk
I would have thought that they would be fine but just as well to check with him.

Sent an email to them just after I posted. I've ordered a box with the battery, but its a bodge job LOL
The battery doesnt have a box small enough, so I've had to order a redtop 30 side box, for the red top 15 :/
Can always return it if not needed

reply from Marc was that prefer it boxed, but would let it pass not boxed if the terminals were very well insulated.
