Realistic fantasy garage question.

Was chatting to a friend the other day,

Who mentioned that later in the year they were expecting their house to be completed which should see them live in the new house, sell off the old house, pay off the mortgage and still have chunks of cash and he asked me what car for circa 100k would I get.

After some deliberation and stupid answers of a new GTR, a 34 and a spare track car instead, we narrowed it down to one of the following and thought I would ask your opinions as well.....

Ferrari 360Spider costing around 85k for a really late low miles minter from a main dealer, probably in Rossa/Crema for that authentic "Look at my bald patch" vibe. These are actually wonderfully made cars that should relatively reliable and not too horrendous to run. They will have lost a fair chunk of depreciation already, save 15k for a nice track car and a holiday and be a beautiful object to look at when not in use.

Ferrari F430 coupe. This would be Nero/Nero just in the budget at 100k and would have the possiblity of major depreciation if 360 values are anything to go by given their brilliance and subsequent popularity. Awesome bit of kit though.

Lamboghini Murcielago. Orange. End of story !! :D :D

Ford GT in either white with blue stripes, or Silver with Black stripes. With a Roush 720bhp kit and handling pack. Just nips in the budget at around 100k + 10k for the go fast bits. Shouldnt be very expensive to run as its basically a ford pickup in drag. Should be probably the fastest of the bunch although its rear tyres are monsterously expensive to replace which happens at least 3 times more often than the fronts. Its pure car porn, but you are gonna have paid out over 100large for a Focus key fob that every woman you meet will need to have the car explained to them. Oh and its not Orange !!

For me I'd go for the big Bull and have much naughtiness driving with the door up and general tomfoolery. Plus theres the huge advantage of answering the age of question of "Whadya drive mate" when meeting people for the first time and Answering "A Lamborghini".........and not just a Gayboy Lardo, but the proper Bo daddy mac evil one too !!! Shallow I know, but we are blokes after all !!! :D :D :D

What are your opinions or suitable alternatives (Moslers are 130k before anyone gets a stiffy by the way !! and Ascari A10's are over 300k !!)

J.

Koenigsegg CCX without a shadow of a doubt.

You can keep yer common as muck Ferraris and Lambo's. None of them are a touch on the Koenigsegg which is different, very powerful, fast as fudge, unique, elegant, and i could go on......and on....and on....and on...... + 806bhp on 95RON, 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) 3.2 seconds, 395+ km/h (245+ mph), Quartermile: 9.9 seconds, terminal speed 235 km/h (146 mph). :P

If those fabulous looks and stats don't get you fantasising and salivating then you're clinically brain dead and would be better off having a wooden leg to pull birds with. You might even get a few herons, seagulls and the odd pidgeon if you're lucky

I know it's a lot more than 100K but what the hell. In for a penny, in for a pound!! :thumb:
