And the details of it being posted give all the other toerags a great idea so that more people try this tactic ...

Matter of interest, I thought this was happening to me a few weeks ago ... car down the road's alarm was set off - saw the window had been put through - then about 30 mins later my alarm went off ... went out with the keys but couldn't shut it down ... for some reason I was expecting to get jumped!.

had a look around and nothing was looking shady - actually turned out i'd left the interior light on and the battery went flat triggering the alarm and wiping the shutdown method in the process - had to remove the battery !!.

Yes, i read this.
I am sure the insurance companies will take advantage of this if your car is not locked in a garage at night :roll:

That sucks.... guess its the logical progression of setting the alarm off again and again till the owner gets pissed off and turns it off, then nick it.

I think ill keep mine looking like its not worth nicking. :-D
