the story goes, the guy take his car to Head Racing Developments in ELY, they do the work then take it out for a "TEST DRIVE". have a look at the pics he says he was only doing 30-40mph :?
its why i only take my car to places so i can keep a eye on it.

i worked for a (audi dealership) once, they had an "s4" i think it was ,anyways the bosses son took it out for a test, after it had sume stuff done to it ,on the way back he had a (race) with a guy that only turned out to be the owner of the car !!
then a few months later the same boss's son took a golf cab out and smashed the wheels up on it, they were just gonna replace the wheels ,till they found out they were limited ,so in the end they had to tell the customer , i remember meeting her and she was proper pissed!!!

wont they be able to get a report done on the car to prove the brakes were fine, then get the garage to pay up?

His story could be true as there are no skid marks on the road, which may sugest they didn`t work.

There's a few of these incidents happening lately, one on s/net last week, which turned into the usual farce for that forum.
I will be asking anyone who works on my car what their policy is for any damage whilst in their care.

No one is ever allowed to test drive or road test my car point blank. I caught a garage wheelspinning one of my cars years ago after it went in for a service, needless to say i didn't pay for that service.
My cars will only ever go to 2 garages for that reason.
If the garage did not inform him that they would need to road test the car then they are fully liable even if the brakes failed. As it is the drivers resposibilty to ensure that the driven car is roadworthy.
I feel for the guy.

I used to play at that playground

Pretty unrealistic to be doing sub 40 wheels bend at that speed not rip apart, its a 30 limit anyway with 2 schools nearby. T###
