As you may have noticed TNT Racing aka Pablo & Bart have entered this years time attack. This may surprise many of you as we have had alot of problems with our car over the past year and it does not have big power.
This is simply a dream come true for us, to be out there competing on the same stage as some of the top cars in the country.
It has been my role to provide Alan with the best package that I could whilst keeping costs to a minimum and Alans job has been to ring the living s**t out of it :-D .Then fix it

Thanks guys. Really looking forward to it especially snetterton.
With the reliability issues of the car, even though we did have another engine that we could have fitted and swapped bits onto we that we need to work through the problem and find the route cause. Which we did
1. We first blew the head gasket because one of the heads had not be torqued down properly. Not fitted by use.
2. We were wrongly informed that as our heads were cast and not alloy we did not need to get them skimmed. The car would overheat on track but not on the road and showed no signs of a head gasket failure
3. After having the heads skimmed whilst re-building the top of the engine Bart was given the wrong settings for the tappets. This resulted in the exhausts valves being to tight. Again fine on the road but would overheat on the track.
The first outing for the car after all these problems were finally sorted was at Ford Fair in August which tuirned out to be the hottest day of the year at that point and she ran fine
All the over heating problems that we had has caused further damage. This is what caused the turbo to go at the ring and has also destroyed the oil seals. We are in the prosess of fixing this engine as it will our spare engine. We are having an engine built by our sponser specially for the time attack.
Lesson learnt from all this....No one touches the engine execpt for Bart and our sponser. :-D
