I would like to attend a couple or 3 or 4 track days this year (earn some badges) :D but i would prefer for the first couple to be BigPower only events so that i can get confidence and etiquette levels back up with people i feel comfortable with. It's been a couple of years since i last did a track day and i need to get some more experience from a personal point of view and also for some brake testing purposes.

I'm an unofficial tester of EBC brakes and pads, and they are doing some development work on oversize/big brake kits. Up to now they have only ever done upgrade kits using standard rotor sizes so this is new for them too. I have been doing this a little while now and I have just been asked to try out some development brakes and pads both on the road and on track, providing much detailed feedback for thier development people so of course i said yessssssss

I get to drive like a loony legally and have my face pressed up against the windscreen when i use the brakes. Sounds good to me!! :D

So......Duncan or Stu...Where are you??????....... :woohoo:

That was quick!! Thank you Stu :thumb:

P.S. I might have to bring Hazel along as she likes a bit of a thrash round once in a blue moon as well :o

Is there likely to be any discounting for other halves? :D

At our events, ie the ones that are exclusive, passengers and co-drivers go free of charge.

A few of the circuits are still to announce their dates and prices so this will or may have a bearing on our own costs.

We will be running some Track virgin and Refresher events if you think that would be of interest......

Essentially these are far more biased towards breaking the ice and ensuring that everyone learns the basics in a less intimidating environment. Because we do not allow experienced drivers to take part in these events, you are free to relax and concentrate on the hints and tips given to you by the instructors on hand throughout the event.

*I appreciate that this may not apply to you.

I was primarily interested in Snet as it's not too far away and it's BigPower's local venue. Equally i would have thought BigPower gets reasonable prices when attending Snet and there aren't too many corners to learn with plenty of run-off just in case, sort of like a mini Bedford Autodrome :D

A virgins trackday would be good too, but again i might prefer to come to Snet for that.

Good news about Co-Drivers. Nice one!! :thumb:

the Virgin track night is a great event - I still think the highest number of people online was after the virgin track night ... got everyone buzzing.

I must make more effort to have the car up and running for the season this year, as opposed to off the road all spring/summer/autumn, then back in action for the winter!!

Then you might even see it at Snetterton. :o
