Drifting Experience Days??

Post by jacko-sti »

hello everyone, quick question really;

ive been looking around the internet trying to find a place/company that holds some sort of Drifting Experience Day, i.e. with an intructor and lessons etc, but i cant find anywhere for a good price.

can anyone point me in the right direction?

i drive a subaru impreza so i think id need a proper experience day with a sort of "rent-a-car" (if that makes any sence)

many thanks in advance, Jacko :D

We will be running some drift days at Santa Pod next year for everyone to have a go at - have a look at the calendar of events for more info :thumb:

I haven't done one but have seen the driftskool days running at a few events I have taken my car too. Looks like the guys enjoyed themselves but the cars were really a bit ratty and basic. Last one at silverstone was a 180sx and an e30 bimmer. From the roll they had it looked like they both had stock suspension with really wont help.

DWYB @ Santa Pod, have Stevo or someone from BDC/EDC that hangs about to give you pointers.
Start with handbrake initiation both ways til its second nature. Get used to going hardand getting it 180 with wheels spinning away.
Pretty soon youll be flicking it between the cones to stay sideways.
Then wide donuts around two or 3 cones in 1st.

Move onto kidney track and do it all in second, lots of clutch kicking to keep revs up :D

Have at least one go on the big track!
MX5/AE86 just use second gear throughout when beginning!
