Sorry to hear that. At least it'll tide you over Xmas and with a New Year, a fresh start.

thanks for that, just going to attempt to sit out the 90 days and then look for another job after the end of March (when the 90 days is up) so if anyone needs a hand with anything let me know

Excuse my stupidity, what is garden leave?
In any event, I suppose that you have 3 months paid leave which I better than nowt. I make it the end of Feb though Mark, not March.

Sorry to hear it mate.
Garden leave - it's a theorectical working period for you to not come into work but still be paid by the company

I think it also means that you're not supposed to work for anyone else during that time either, hense the time stipulation.

If i were you i would make smart use of my garden leave and look for another job whilst you are being paid for the pleasure. Don't wait till March because if it takes you 3 months to find a job anyway and you wait until the garden leave is over you have then eaten up 3ths of redundancy pay when instead you could have 3mths redundancy money still in the bank.
Then once you have found a job choose to give yourself a couple of weeks holiday before you start anew and you can blow the rest of the money on some choice mods for your pride & joy

:D:D
On Garden Leave so long as you make yourself available for work with just a few hours notice required from your employer you can more or less do what you want. Howeever you cannot take a holiday during that time unless you have holidays owing to you, e.g. if you were owed 5 weeks holiday there is no reason why you couldn't take the last 5 weeks of garden leave off, booked as holidays owed to you.
Work smarter not harder :thumb:
