today was called into a meeting at work, and we have all been made redundant and put on 90 day garden leave with immediate effect
quite a strange feeling really almost stuck in Limbo[/list]

If i were you i would make smart use of my garden leave and look for another job whilst you are being paid for the pleasure. Don't wait till March because if it takes you 3 months to find a job anyway and you wait until the garden leave is over you have then eaten up 3ths of redundancy pay when instead you could have 3mths redundancy money still in the bank.
Then once you have found a job choose to give yourself a couple of weeks holiday before you start anew and you can blow the rest of the money on some choice mods for your pride & joy

On Garden Leave so long as you make yourself available for work with just a few hours notice required from your employer you can more or less do what you want. Howeever you cannot take a holiday during that time unless you have holidays owing to you, e.g. if you were owed 5 weeks holiday there is no reason why you couldn't take the last 5 weeks of garden leave off, booked as holidays owed to you.
Work smarter not harder :thumb:
