Am planning on going to the Ring with a few friends.
How hard is the track on brakes?
My friends mainly have std cars.
Cheers,

Planning a trip in spring 2008
Cheers guys,
I'll be in my lightly tuned Impreza (AP6 pots, KWv3 coilovers, 340bhp etc). My friends will be in a std Celica (VVTi?), std MGF T and std impreza (I might sort the brakes on the impreza).
I just wanted to check that they would all be okay without brake upgrades.
Has anyone done a slight detour on the way back via Amsterdam?
Am thinking about heading out on a Friday morning and getting back for Sunday night.

You will need to allow most of the fri for travelling and maybe hit the track for a few laps in the evening.
Check the opening times when they are published don't want to go all that way and the track is closed!!!
Just take the first few laps steady and build up from there don't worry about getting overtaken take your time learn the track and watch out for Bikes!!!

Bob - be aware that if you are thinking of the easter weekend for the trip:BOB'5 wrote: Am thinking about heading out on a Friday morning and getting back for Sunday night.

1. It will be absolutely heaving and all the main car parks, overflow car parks and roads around it will be full
2. Book early because it will be heaving
3. Book restaurants because it will be heaving
4. You wont get many laps in because it will be heaving and crashes are too frequent and close the track
There are very strictly applied rules on noise so make sure you car is not more than 98db in a static 5k noise test - if it isnt you wont be allowed to play.
There are strict rules on videoing and any video camera seen will result in an instant ban.
As Rob says, depending on what time you set off on the friday you can pretty much rule out track time that day and they dont often open the track on a friday anyway from what I have seen.
