BigPower Ring Trip 2008 - your opinions needed

Post by duncan »

A lot of you have expressed interest in coming out to the ring at various points - now is your chance to shape the big trip in 2008.

April is the most likely month after the easter madness has died down and the plan is to stay for a few days in Nurburg having as much track time as possible but with time to experience the full plethora of other activities on offer.

As novices, I have found that the quieter evening midweek sessions give the best chance to get used to the track when it is quiet and you dont have to look in your rear view mirror continuosly but also to take in some busy days for the variety of cars and atmosphere there.

Therefore, I would suggest a midweek arrival there (to get in a couple of evening sessions) and leave on a monday after a full opening weekend (for some track totty) in mid April.

I would love to get 10-15 BigPower cars over there for the trip so that we can all help each other out and have a fun time. Expect costs to be around

Having been all set and organised a babysitter etc for the last one, the date then changed quite late on. Talk about gutted!

So i guess my suggestion for the next one would be to stick to the date we originally agree too if at all possible.

Finances are not a problem for me and neither is time if i'm in the country. I will be up for any trip there.

cheers

April sounds good to me.

Gives me a bit of time to save some pennies after our wedding.

Don't think I can do that week due to my rota at work. :(

Week starting 14th is best for me I have that week off!

I'll possibly be up for this depending on where i'm at with my car.

Also i'm sure there would be a few other coming along with me.

Any time really aslong as i get enough notice to book it off, public holidays are always not a good time for me though.

Also one of the members who recently went stopped at some bobslay thingy, could we add this into the trip? looks coolio.

i would be intrested in april and as a virgin the midweek quiet times sound good to get a feel for the place, a pax lap would also be good with a regular ringer before going out in my own car aswell,
any date suits me, being self employed does have some bonuses. anyway count me in :-D
