Was a good race and...... "COME ON LEWIS"

Some great tussles through out that race, Masa was as leary as ever, how can you heve 3 pits stops a drive through penalty and still finish were he did. That last lap fight with Kubica....fantastic

Being dead clever and having a fancy HD recorder, I set it using the auto programmer, ITV1 F1 Japan. We sat down to watch it and WTF? It only recorded 1 1/2 hours of the programme.

When it switched off, McLaren were 1 & 2 behind the SC and Ferrari had to go in for full wets. Turned to ITV1 proper and the highlights with Alonso nowhere to be seen, no Button, Coulthard being overtaken by a flying Raikkonen.

Like Martin Brundle said, Hamilton deserves the title on that race alone. Brilliant stuff.

So how did Alonso go off? Was he anywhere near Lewis?

Lewis was in the lead at the time - Alonso was back in 4th or 5th but had been off a couple of times already and was looking pretty ragged. He went off on the long right hander and hit the wall rather hard and than span back out onto the track. Lewis had it wrapped up anyway by then but it has done Lewis a favour for sure.
